The Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden (9 images)

The Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden enters its 16th year beginning Saturday, March 3.

Belgian floral artist Daniel Ost, known as "the Picasso of flower arranging," organized thousands of orchids and other flowers for the exhibition.

Ost said the orchids in the garden are rarely used in the floral art world and he set out to do a "totally new" thing.

"I will do only things nobody has ever done," Ost said.
