The funeral services of retired Army general and former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell are held at the National Washington Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Friday. Powell, who rose to become the United States' first Black secretary of state, died October 18, at age 84 from complications of COVID-19, after a battle with brain cancer.
