Recovery efforts after aircraft collide over Potomac (21 images)

There were no survivors in the January 29, 2025, crash between an American Airlines jet and an Army helicopter. Some 300 first responders searched the Potomac River all night for bodies. President Donald Trump, Mayor Muriel Bowser, Sen. Mark Warner, D.-Va., and D.C. Fire and EMS Chief John Donnelly spoke at press conferences about the tragedy.
