Protesters rally against DACA repeal(10 images)

People gathered across the country to protest the Trump administration's decision to put an end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals immigration program.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Tuesday the elimination of the program, which allows people who were brought to the United States as undocumented immigrants as children the chance to remain in the country provided they meet certain requirements. Congress has six months to act before the program ends.

Former President Barack Obama issued a statement Tuesday calling the repeal "cruel."

Protests erupted across the country, with business and government leaders criticizing the president's decision.
