By Wade Sheridan

Pro-Palestine protests at Columbia University in New York City came to a head on Tuesday as hundreds of New York Police Department officers arrested dozens of demonstrators who had occupied the school's Hamilton Hall. Protests had been going on at the school for weeks, with classes eventually held virtually. A Pro-Palestinian encampment had been built on university grounds. Several political leaders, including U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, visited the campus.
