National Guard patrols New York City subways (7 images)

National Guard troops patrol the subways of New York City on Thursday on an order from Gov. Kathy Hochul. The city wants to crack down on subway crime, with police data indicating 388 major crimes have been committed on the subway so far this year, a 13% rise from 2023.
