Muslims celebrate Ramadan in Gaza (9 images)

Muslims in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip join those throughout the world in the celebration of Ramadan, beginning April 23, 2021. During this holiest month on Islamic calendar, observers refrain from eating, drinking, smoking and sex from dawn to dusk to mark the prophet Mohammed's receiving the revelations of the Koran. It's the second Ramadan marked during the COVID-19 pandemic.
