Memorial events for longtime U.S. Rep. John Lewis start with a procession across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala., on July 26, 2020. The body of the Georgia Democrat, a lifelong civil rights activist, will lie in state at the U.S. Capitol on July 27-28. Next, his casket travels to the Georgia state Capitol before burial in Atlanta. He died July 17 at age 80.
