The four-day, largely virtual Republican National Convention was held August 24-27, 2020. The event, which renominated President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for re-election, was based in Charlotte, N.C., but many events were held remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. Speakers included first lady Melania Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Sen. Mitch McConnell and former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley.
