Former Columbia University graduate student and pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil attended a rally celebrating his release from ICE detention on the steps of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City on June 22, 2025. Khalil was freed Friday from federal detention in central Louisiana after a judge ordered his release.
