Jimmy Carter, longest-living president, through the years(52 images)

Jimmy Carter on Friday became the longest-living president in U.S. history, at 94 years and 172 days, surpassing George H.W. Bush, who died in November. The Carter administration struggled with high inflation and the Iranian hostage crisis, however since leaving office Carter has won the Nobel Peace prize, traveled the world to promote human rights and helped build homes with Habitat for Humanity.
