First astronaut of color to head to the moon: Victor J. Glover Jr. (12 images)

NASA astronaut Victor J. Glover Jr. has been named to the upcoming Artemis II mission as early as 2024, which will make him the first person of color to orbit the moon. Glover, first chosen as an astronaut in 2013, will be the pilot. The U.S. Navy aviator recently piloted and served as second-in-command on the Crew-1 SpaceX Crew Dragon, which landed in May 2021. Here's a look at his career.
