Columbia University held its commencement for the class of 2025 at the school's main campus in New York City on Wednesday. The ceremony comes after pro Palestine protests occurred at the school earlier in the year, resulting in the arrest of student activist Mahmoud Khalil and the loss of $400 million in federal funding that was pulled by President Donald Trump. Acting school president Claire Shipman received boos as she spoke.
