City workers on strike in Los Angeles (8 images)

Thousands of Los Angeles city workers launched a one-day strike and demonstrated in front of Los Angeles City Hall amid slow-moving contract negotiations with the city on Tuesday. Members of the Service Employees International Union say vacant positions at many agencies are forcing workers to take excessive overtime.
