By Wade Sheridan

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson, R-La., and other politicians attend the 2023 Capitol Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on the West Front Lawn of the Capitol in Washington on Tuesday. The tree is a 63-foot Norway spruce from the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. Earlier in the day, high winds caused the tree to topple.
