Searchers discovered the remains of 13-year-old Dylan Redwine, who went missing in November from his father's Vallecito Lake, Colo., home.

Dylan's father, Mark Redwine, said La Plata County Sheriff's Office officials told him Thursday they found only a few of the boy's bones about 10 miles from his home and that wildlife had ravaged the rest.

"Ninety-eight percent of Dylan is scattered about the countryside," he said.

Searchers are still looking for more of the boy's remains, and have yet to find the backpack or other items he had when he went missing.

Mark Redwine said he is trying to reach out to his ex-wife, Elaine Redwine, to plan their son's funeral.

Their relationship has been contentious since Dylan's disappearance, with each blaming the other for the incident.

Meanwhile, friends and family of the teen planned a candlelight vigil in his honor for Saturday night at Eagle Field Park in Bayfield.

"Please join us as we take time to remember, acknowledge and mourn a beautiful child that has been stolen from the embrace of this community and family," the event description on Facebook says.
