Police Chief Greg Jones said during a Wednesday morning press conference the motive for the mass shooting was unknown.

The mass shooting at an Ohio warehouse Tuesday night left one person dead and five others injured as law enforcement continued their manhunt for a person of interest.

The New Albany Police Department said early Wednesday that those injured had been taken to a local hospital, and family members of those involved were still being notified. The warehouse stored LBrand cosmetic products.

Police identified the suspect as Bruce Reginald Foster III but said Tuesday he was not yet in custody.

Jones said 150 workers were evacuated from the warehouse after the shooting, many of whom did not know what had happened until authorities ushered them into another secure building. Officials said the facility is run by KDC/One, a beauty product manufacturer.

Authorities said they believed some at the warehouse knew who the person of interest was but did not elaborate and did not believe that person was still in the area.
