Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Rapper and entrepreneur Shawn Carter, better known by Jay-Z, denied allegations in an amended civil lawsuit filed Sunday that claimed he raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000 with music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Carter, the husband to music superstar Beyonce Knowles, denied the charges, daring the alleged victim's lawyer to file criminal charges against him and made a counterclaim claim that the attorney attempted to blackmail him.

The federal lawsuit, originally filed in October, claimed that during an after-hours party following the MTV Music Awards 24 years ago she was sexually assaulted first by Carter and then by Combs at a residence.

The new filing identified Carter as "Celebrity A," where the alleged victim said in her lawsuit filed in the Southern District of New York that she felt woozy and went into a bedroom where both entertainers attacked her.

The refiling on Sunday turned into a war of words between Carter, who issued statements to media outlets, and Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who responded back on social media.

"These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one," Carter said, according to NBC News. "Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you agree? These alleged victims would serve real justice if that were the case."

Carter said Buzbee offered to "mediate" a settlement between his client and him which he called "blackmail" with the victim asking for an "exorbitant" amount of money.

Buzbee pushed back against the allegation, saying Carter was trying to intimidate his client with the comments and a preemptive lawsuit against the attorney.

"The case filed against my firm is not only without legal merit but laughable," Buzbee said on Instagram. "It is obvious that the frivolous lawsuit filed against my firm is an aggressive attempt to intimidate or silence me and ultimately my client. That effort is a gross miscalculation.

"I won't be silenced or intimidated. Neither will my clients. Since our professional efforts at resolution obviously have failed, we will instead disclose the demand letter we sent at the time we filed suit."
