Dec. 5 (UPI) -- A man has been arrested in connection with burglarizing the local Ashburn, Va., campaign office of Donald Trump nearly four months after the break-in, the local county sheriff's office announced Thursday.

Toby Shane Kessler, 39, who has no fixed or permanent address, was arrested Saturday by the University of California San Francisco Police Department for squatting in an unoccupied campus dormitory, the sheriff's office announced in a release.

Police have been hunting for Kessler since the night of Aug. 11, when he was captured in surveillance footage forcing his way through the back door of the Trump campaign's Ashburn office in the 20000 block of Ashbrook Place. The building also serves as the headquarters for Virginia's 10th District Republican Committee.

Kessler, who has a history of criminal behavior, is accused of spending brief period inside the building before leaving, the sheriff's office said.

Authorities added that it is rare for a campaign office to be broken into, especially at the local level.

Ashburn is located about 35 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.
