Aug. 28 (UPI) -- A search continues for an elderly California couple and their dog after they went missing Saturday from a nudist resort in San Bernardino County, Calif. Daniel Menard, 79, and Stephanie Menard, 73, were seen last on Saturday morning while leaving their home at the nudist resort in Redlands in California's Inland Empire region, the Redlands Police Department told KABC News.

A friend reported the couple missing on Sunday when the couple wasn't ready to go to church on Sunday. The friend entered the home to check on them and found the television and computer still running.
Their vehicle was found unlocked near their home Sunday. A search of their home located both of their cellphones and Stephanie's purse and cane, but their small white Shih Tzu dog is missing.
A family friend told KABC Stephanie Menard would not leave home without her purse and cane and neither is capable of walking away from their vehicle.
The Redlands community has experienced a spike in break-ins and vandalism, which has many fearing the worst for the missing couple.
The couple also is active in the Olive Dell nudist ranch in Redlands. Friends said the couple allegedly endured harassment due to their possible status as plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the nudist ranch.
Redlands is located along the I-10 corridor about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
Local police said Daniel Menard is diabetic and suffers from dementia and there are no signs of foul play.
A spokesperson for the city of Redlands said the Riverside Sheriff's Office has used search dogs and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office has used a helicopter to search for the missing couple.
Neighbors also searched the Reche Canyon area on foot and on horseback.
