Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Former President Donald Trump's club in New Jersey is planning to host an "awards gala" for people incarcerated for their role in a riot on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, including 20 choir members who contributed to the Justice for All charity song. The Sept. 5 event will be hosted by a pro-Trump political action committee NEW GEN 47 and Vote Your Vision and will be held at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.

Trump is an invited guest, but a source told CNN that he had not accepted the invitation to speak.
Another invited guest is former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who has been indicted in Georgia on charges related to efforts to overturn Trump's loss in the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. MAGA influencer Anthony Raimondi also has been invited.
General admission tickets are $1,500 and a single VIP ticket costs $2,500. All donations were listed as tax deductible.
The event includes a raffle for a plaque commemorating the song Justice for All -- a recording made by individuals who have been convicted for their roles in the Jan. 6 riot -- reaching platinum status on the Billboard Music chart in March 2023.
The song includes the choir singing The Star-Spangled Banner and Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
"This event is not just a celebration of the song's success but also an opportunity to show our support and solidarity," according to information on The American Project website.
"This gala also serves as a crucial fundraiser to provide much-needed assistance to the January 6th defendants who continue to face significant challenges."
He has referred to those jailed for their role in the riot as "hostages."
More than 1,230 people have been charged with federal crimes in the riot.
Trump has said he would pardon some rioters if he becomes president again.
"Oh, absolutely, I would. If they're innocent, I would pardon them," Trump said at the National Association of Black Journalists conference in Chicago last month. "They were convicted by a very tough system."
