Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Attorney Lin Wood, a supporter of Donald Trump's, was a witness for the state in the Georgia election case against the former president and others, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office revealed Wednesday in a court filing. Wood, who filed a lawsuit to attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia, is among those named in the filing, which cites potential conflicts of interest for six attorneys for the defense.

The attorneys had previously represented witnesses or one of the 19 defendants in the case, the DA's office said.
"Lin Wood is a witness for the state in the present case," the filing says.
Wood, along with attorneys Harry MacDougald and Sidney Powell, represented plaintiffs in a lawsuit that alleged Dominion Voting Systems' election hardware and software was used to manipulate ballots.
Coreco Ja'Quan Pearson, Vikki Townsend Consiglio, Gloria Kay Godwin, James Kenneth Carroll and Carolyn Hall Fisher were among the plaintiffs Wood represented in the case. They have also been named as state witnesses.
MacDougald is representing former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark in the Fulton County case. As a witness, Wood could be subject to cross examination from MacDougald if MacDougald is allowed to remain on as Clark's attorney.
Clark is charged with conspiracy to commit false statements and writings for allegedly contacting Georgia officials claiming to have evidence of election fraud.
The lawsuit Wood filed was dismissed and the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Wood did not have the standing to sue.
Unlike Powell, Wood was not hired by Trump, who is campaigning for president.
Other attorneys Willis' office says may have conflicts of interest are Donald Samuel, Bruce Morris and Amanda Palmer, representing Ray Smith III; Scott Grubman, representing Kenneth Chesebro; and Christopher Anulewicz, representing Robert Cheeley.
Grubman previously represented Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and is likely to be a key witness in the case against Trump.
