Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty Thursday in Washington to a third criminal indictment in an unprecedented series of charges.

The federal indictment came after an investigation led by special counsel Jack Smith into efforts to overturn the 2020 election and the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Six unnamed, unindicted co-conspirators are named in the document, which gives details of an alleged conspiracy to keep Trump in power.

Here is the full indictment, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
