Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Local law enforcement have located what they believe is the body of Miya Marcano, an Orlando, Fla. woman reported missing.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina made the announcement at a press conference on Saturday, reports Local10.com. Mina said deputies found the body in a wooded area of Tymber Skan on the Lake Condominiums earlier that morning.

While a medical examiner has not officially identified the body, Mina said he was confident it was Marcano since deputies also found a purse with her identification and belongings.

Armando Manuel Caballero, who had been identified as a person of interest in the disappearance of Marcano, was found dead in an apparent suicide last week in Seminole County. Previously, Mina said Marcano had rebuffed romantic advances from Caballero.

Marcano, 19, was reported missing after failing to board a flight for a family visit to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Her family revealed that Marcano's room at Arden Villas Apartments in Orlando was in disarray with blood on a pillow, dirt on the floor, jewelry on the ground and her bed unmade.

Caballero worked as a maintenance worker at the Arden Villas apartment and allegedly used a master key fob to enter Marcano's apartment.

The FBI aided the search for Marcano. The search included the use of cellphone data as well as drones and air boats scouring nearby swamps, reports WESH 2.
