Rising COVID-19 infections push Harvard Business School students online

Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Harvard Business School said Monday it will move some MBA students to remote learning after rising breakthrough COVID-19 infections.

The move will affect all first-year MBA students and some in their second year, according to Boston 25 News and Bloomberg Wealth.

Remote learning starts Monday and will run through Oct. 3, Harvard Business School's spokesperson Mark Cautela told Boston 25.

Cautela added that transmission is not occurring on campus or among masked individuals.

Amid the "steady rise" in breakthrough infections, according to Bloomberg Wealth, Harvard University will increase COVID-19 testing to three times a week.

Harvard University has also asked students to wear masks indoors, limit in-person meetings with people outside their household, move all group gatherings online and cancel group trips.

According to the university website, 96% of employees and 95% of students were vaccinated.
