Sept. 16 (UPI) -- New Jersey authorities are hoping that a new computerized image will help them find a young girl who disappeared from a park, just yards away from her mother, exactly two years ago Thursday.
Police have released an age-progressed image of Dulce Maria Alavez, who vanished from Bridgeton, N.J., on Sept. 16, 2019. The girl would now be 7 yeas old.
The computer-aged image of Alavez was created by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Police say Alavez disappeared while playing with her younger brother at Bridgeton City Park. At the time, her mother was about 30 yards away helping her older sister with homework.
Bridgeton is located in southern New Jersey about 35 miles south of downtown Philadelphia.
Police say there is no evidence the girl is dead and they are offering a $75,000 reward in the case.
Authorities say Alavez may have been taken by Hispanic man who was seen in the area of the park when the girl vanished.
Mother Noama Alavez Perez says, however, that she questions whether the new age-progression is accurate.
"I don't think her face would have changed a lot," she told WPVI-TV Thursday.
Police said they are still pursuing all leads in the case.
