June 5 (UPI) -- A Delta Air Lines flight en route from Los Angeles to Nashville made an emergency landing in Albuquerque after a passenger became unruly and attempted to enter the cockpit, authorities said.

The FBI said Friday there was no threat to the public and no injuries reported during the incident. The passenger, whose name wasn't revealed, was arrested at Albuquerque International Sunport.

Grace Chalmers, another passenger on the flight, told CNN the man, "seemingly unprovoked, just got up and rushed the pilot's cabin and began banging on the doors."

She said another passenger took down the man, and, with the help of the cabin crew, the man was held on the ground for the 20 minutes it took the plane to make the unscheduled landing.

The Boeing 737-900 carried 162 passengers and had six crew members on board. The passengers on Flight 386 had to stay in Albuquerque for multiple hours before Delta was able to rearrange their travel to Nashville.
