Feb. 11 (UPI) -- United Airlines became the second U.S. carrier Thursday to return the Boeing 737 Max to service.
The Max was grounded worldwide in 2019 after 346 people died in two crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia within five months in 2018 and 2019. The aircraft's automated flight control Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System pushed both planes into a nosedive after a faulty sensor.
