Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Authorities on Monday were searching for a gunman who shot 10 people at a central California home where people had gathered to watch football.

Police in Fresno said the gunman and others sneaked into the back yard of the home late Sunday and began firing. Four victims died and six were injured. The shooting occurred about a half-mile from Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

Deputy Fresno Police Chief Michael Reed said three men were found dead in the back yard and a fourth man died later at a hospital. The injured were expected to survive, officials said.

The victims were all Asian men age 25 to 30. They were among about 35 people gathered at the home, including children.

"This is senseless violence," police Lt. Bill Dooley told reporters. "We're going to do everything we can to figure out who the perpetrators are and bring them to justice."

Police said they were canvassing the area for witnesses and looking for surveillance video that might have clues.

The San Francisco Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is aiding in the investigation.
