June 12 (UPI) -- The nation's consumer price index inched up 0.1 percent in May on a seasonally adjusted basis, slowing from April when it rose 0.3 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.
The new report followed Tuesday's Labor Department report that showed the producer price index rose a similar 0.1 percent. That report measures the average change in producer prices for goods.
