Firefighters responded to the blaze around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, hours before responding to a fire at the home of Paul Caneiro's brother, Keith Caneiro, 50, and sister-in-law, Jennifer Caneiro, 45.

A law enforcement official said the deaths of Keith Caneiro, 50, Jennifer Caneiro and their two children were being investigated as homicides. They did not reveal the causes of their deaths.

Officials found the four bodies in their Colts Neck estate Tuesday after firefighters responded to a fire there. A man's body was found outside the home while the other three were inside, all badly burned.
