July 11 (UPI) -- A suspect in the shooting death of rapper XXXTentacion has been charged with first-degree murder, authorities said Wednesday.

Michael Boatwright, 22, was arrested last week on unrelated drug charges. He was served with a warrant for murder Tuesday while in custody.

Boatwright is accused of shooting the rap star, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, on June 18 as he left a Deerfield Beach, Fla., motorcycle shop.

Court documents indicate the 20-year-old rapper was accosted by two masked men. At least one fired and they then fled in a vehicle.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office previously arrested Dedrick Williams, 22, and charged him with first-degree murder, but did not identify his connection to the case.

Williams was also charged with a probation violation and driving without a valid license.

Detectives are still seeking Robert Allen, 22, as a person of interest in the case. Allen is also wanted on drug possession and concealed firearm warrants.

Investigators do not yet have a clear motive for the shooting.
