June 23 (UPI) -- Rapper XXXTentacion was leaving a South Florida motorcycle shop when an SUV cut him off and two masked people fatally shot at him, court records indicate.

The Sun Sentinel reported that the court records detailing Monday's deadly shooting were released Friday.

Detectives don't believe Dedrick Williams, 22, shot XXXTentacion, the Sun Sentinel reported, but his suspected role in the killing -- as the SUV's driver -- led to a first-degree murder charge against him, records show. Williams is also charged with violating his probation on a previous charge of grand theft and driving without a valid license.

An arrest warrant filed in Broward County court says XXXTentacion brought a friend with him to the RIVA Motorsports store in Deerfield Beach, but the filing did not give further detail on his friend or what happened to him.

It's also still unclear why the rapper was targeted.

Surveillance video from the store showed two suspects from the SUV followed the rapper and his friend into the dealership while they were shopping. Then, the suspects exited the store, and waited to block XXXTentacion's car as he left the parking lot.

After the rapper was shot, the suspects took a small bag from the car, the arrest warrant says.

The 20-year-old rapper, who was born Jahseh Dwayne Onfory, was declared dead at Broward Health North hospital after Monday's shooting.

XXXTentacion, who grew up in nearby Lauderhill, Fla., had released his second album, ?, on March 16, with the single "Sad!" peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
