June 19 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump will speak Tuesday afternoon at the 75th anniversary celebration of the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

The event is scheduled to begin at the Hyatt Regency hotel on Capitol Hill 12:25 p.m. EDT.

"The president will highlight the strong American economy and tout the benefits we are seeing from tax reform and deregulation, including that small business optimism has hit its highest level in more than 30 years," press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters last week.

Founded in 1943, the NFIB said it's dedicated to supporting small and independent businesses in all 50 states.

"We're looking forward to celebrating this week with hundreds of members from across the country and our elected representatives here in Washington," the NFIB said in a statement Tuesday.
