May 22 (UPI) -- White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was scheduled to give an on-camera press briefing on Tuesday afternoon.
The briefing was set to begin at 3 p.m. EDT.
Sanders likely will speak about President Donald Trump's planned meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Trump met Tuesday morning with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, where he tempered expectations of his planned meeting with Kim.
He said the plan to meet June 12 in Singapore may not happen. Last week, North Korea canceled planned talks with South Korea and threatened to do the same for the U.S. talks in reaction to military drills conducted by the two allies.
"North Korea has a chance to be a great country and it can't be a country under these circumstances they are living right now ... I think they should seize the opportunity," Trump said.
