March 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of Defense on Thursday will mark the first anniversary of National Vietnam Veterans Day -- an observance introduced a year ago by President Donald Trump to honor veterans who felt alienated for years after the war.
The Pentagon will hold a wreath-laying ceremony at Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. -- honoring the veterans for the first time since Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017.
