Sanders likely will face questions about President Donald Trump's call for a bipartisan immigration bill. He met earlier in the day with Senate Democrats and Republicans to talk about efforts on immigration reform legislation.

He said lawmaker should pass a "bill of love."

"I hope we're going to come up with an answer for [the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program]," Trump said.

DACA, which is set to expire March 3, gives undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children the ability to live and work in the country without fear of being deported.

Trump also was scheduled to sign an executive order concerning veterans' transition from the military to civilian life.
