Watch live: Sarah Sanders gives press briefing

Dec. 14 (UPI) -- White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was scheduled to give an on-camera press briefing Thursday afternoon.

She was set to answer questions at 1:45 p.m. EST.

Sanders likely will face questions about the departure of Omarosa Manigault Newman from the White House this week. The former The Apprentice contestant said she had seen things in the White House that made her "uncomfortable."

Before the briefing, President Donald Trump had lunch with Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis.

Later in the day, he was scheduled to participate in an event on deregulation and meet with Ronna Romney McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee.
