Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A St. Louis gas station clerk was charged with murder this week for allegedly shooting a customer dead -- believing he intended to shoplift a $1.10 bag of candy, authorities said.
The cashier, Taleb Rebhi Ali Jawher, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action for the September killing of 34-year-old Christopher Simmons, reported the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
