Oct. 18 (UPI) -- White House press secretary Sarah Sanders is scheduled for an on-camera daily press briefing Wednesday afternoon.
She was expected to answer reporters' questions at 2 p.m. EDT.
Sanders likely will face questions about a dispute between President Donald Trump and Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla. Wilson accused the president of telling the widow of fallen Sgt. La David Johnson, killed in an ambush in Niger, that the sergeant "knew what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurt."
Trump disputed the account in a tweet, saying he has proof.
Sanders also was expected to talk about Trump's stance on a bipartisan deal to stabilize the Affordable Care Act in the short term. On Tuesday, Trump gave tentative support for the deal, which would reinstate federal subsidies to help Americans pay for health insurance.
But on Wednesday, Trump appeared to back down from that stance.
Before the briefing, Trump spoke with Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on the phone and had a meeting with the Senate Committee on Finance.
