Aug. 6 (UPI) -- General Motors is recalling nearly 700,000 Chevrolet and GNC pickup trucks because of potential power steering problems, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced.
The affected models are 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, the NHTSA said in a safety recall report. Drivers can check if their car is among the recalled vehicles on NHTSA's website. The company estimates that 2 percent of the 690,685 recalled vehicles will have been affected by the defect.
