July 25 (UPI) -- First daughter and presidential adviser Ivanka Trump read her daughter's favorite book to a group of young girls at Washington's National History Museum on Tuesday, joined by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.

The two took turns reading the book, Rosie Revere Engineer, to a group of 6- to 10-year-old children from a local YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club. Trump said the book was her daughter Arabella's "favorite."

The event was held to encourage students to read over the summer vacation months, when reading habits can slip. The event also exposed the group of girls to STEM -- science, technology, engineering and math -- activities at the Smithsonian museum's Spark Lab.

DeVos asked the group of children if they reading this summer and if they enjoyed slides.

"But there is a slide that I don't think you want to go down this summer," she said. "Do you know what it is?

"You don't want to go on the summer slide and slide back on your reading."
