July 11 (UPI) -- The FBI, the ATF and local authorities said they are investigating an explosion at a U.S. Air Force recruitment office in Bixby, Okla.

Bixby Police Sgt. Tim Scrivner said bomb squads from Bixby and the nearby city of Tulsa responded to the explosion at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives public information officer Meredith Davis said the FBI and the ATF are also investigating the cause of the explosion. If the incident is determined to be a case of domestic terrorism, the FBI will take over the investigation.

The incident occurred at the recruitment center near Bixby's 104th Street and Memorial Drive. No injuries were reported.

NewsOn6 reported the explosion came from a possible pipe bomb.
