June 14 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump on Wednesday was scheduled to give public remarks after a gunman opened fire on congressional Republicans practicing baseball Wednesday.
He was expected to speak around 11:30 a.m. from the White House.

Among those injured at the Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Va., were Rep. Steve Scalise, two Capitol police and a congressional staffer. The suspect, James T. Hodgkinson, was arrested and was also injured.
Police were investigating the gunman's motives.
