June 7 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump's approval rating has dropped to a new low of 34 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll. Meanwhile, 57 percent of respondents in the poll published Wednesday disapprove of his job as president.

More specifically, 25 percent of people "approve strongly" of the president, compared with 9 percent who "approve somewhat," 6 percent who "disapprove somewhat" and 51 percent who "disapprove strongly." Nine percent had no opinion.
Late last month, Quinnipiac said, Trump's approval percentage was 37 percent and disapproval rating was 55 percent.
According to the FiveThirtyEight polls average, Trump has a job approval rating of 38.3 percent, and a 55.9 percent job disapproval rating.
The Quinnipiac Poll found Trump has 81 percent support from Republicans, but 4 percent of Democrats and 35 percent of independents support the president. Among Republicans, 63 percent strongly approve of him.
Among men, the approval rating is 41 percent -- compared with 28 percent of women backing Trump. Thirty-seven percent of college graduates approve of the president and 46 percent without a degree feel that way.
A majority of respondents told Quinnipiac they don't think Trump has a slew of qualities, including honesty, leadership skills and intelligence.
Also, 69 percent of respondents are "very concerned" or "somewhat concerned" about the president's relationship with Russia. And 54 percent think Trump is too friendly with Russia, compared to 38 percent who think he has the right attitude toward Russia.
Responding to another question, 31 percent believe Trump acted illegally in his relationship with Russia. Another 29 percent of respondents think the president did something unethical, but not illegal, and 32 percent think the president did nothing wrong.
"There is zero good news for President Donald Trump in this survey, just a continual slide into a chasm of doubt about his policies and his very fitness to serve," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll. "If this were a prize fight, some in his corner might be thinking about throwing in the towel. This is counter puncher Donald Trump's pivotal moment to get up off the mat. With a third of the members of his own party questioning his level headedness, this is clearly the moment the president needs to steady the ship."
American voters disapprove of Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord by a 62-to-32 margin. That's similar to findings in an ABC News/Washington Post poll in which 59 percent opposed the decision and 28 percent supported it.
The Quinnipiac poll was conducted among 1,361 voters from May 31 to Tuesday among 1,361 voters. The margin of error is 3.2 percent.
