April 14 (UPI) -- Law enforcement captured Wisconsin fugitive Joseph Jakubowski on Friday morning, the Richland County Sheriff's Department said.

He was found in nearby Vernon County after a report late Thursday of a suspicious person on a farmer's property. Authorities made contact with the person, later identified as Jakubowski, and took him into custody without incident.

He will be returned to Rock County for arraignment. A manhunt for Jakubowski, 32, began on April 4, when officials said Jakubowski broke into a Janesville gun shop and stole weapons and other material before burning his vehicle. He also mailed a 161-page manifesto of anti-government complaints to President Donald Trump.

Public buildings, including government offices, schools and churches across southern Wisconsin increased security as the manhunt proceeded, and the FBI offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Richland County Sheriff said law enforcement officials are breathing a "sigh of relief" at the capture, adding that 10 homes near the site of Jakubowski's apprehension were evacuated on Thursday evening.
