White House releases first lady Melania Trump's official portrait

April 3 (UPI) -- It wasn't the former model's first major photo shoot, but it might have been the most important for Melania Trump.

On Monday, The White House released the first lady's official portrait.

The image will be used in an official capacity for the next four years.

"I am honored to serve in the role of first lady, and look forward to working on behalf of the American people over the coming years," she said in a statement.
