UPI/CVoter poll: Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 3.3 points

WASHINGTON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- The UPI/CVoter daily presidential tracking poll for Sunday shows Hillary Clinton increased her lead over Donald Trump by 3 1/3 percentage points two days before the election.

The online poll shows Clinton with 49.25 percent, to Trump's 45.92 percent and 4.83 choosing "other" -- declining to pick either candidate.

In one day, the Democratic nominee increased her lead by more than 2 percentage points. On Saturday, her number was virtually unchanged at 49.06 but the Republican nominee dropped almost 2 percentage points in one day from 47.82. Those responding with "other" were lower at 3.12.

Clinton has her biggest lead in the poll since Oct. 21 when she led by 4.45 percentage points.

Her lead had diminished after FBI Director James Comey announced Oct. 28 a review of additional emails in connection with Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state. Before that date, she led by 1.38 percentage points.

So over the course of seven days, the poll's full sample size, she actually has increased her lead since the announcement.

Clinton has led every day since Oct. 5 and the biggest lead during that stretch was 6.59 percentage points on Oct. 15, eight days after videotape from 2005 of Trump speaking crudely about women was released.

In polling since July, her biggest lead was 7.27 percentage points through Aug. 6 and nine days after the Democratic National Convention.

Trump's biggest advantage was 4.85 percentage points on July 23 and two days after the Republican National Convention.

The UPI/CVoter online tracking poll surveys at least 200 people each day, leading to a sample size of more than 1,400 people during any seven-day span.

Because the poll is conducted online and individuals self-select to participate, a margin of error cannot be calculated. The poll has a credibility interval of 3 percentage points. This seven-day span includes data collected from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5, when 2,196 individuals were surveyed. Of them, 1,572 identified themselves as likely voters.
