Latrobe, Pa., plane crash injures one person

LATROBE , Pa., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Emergency crews responded Friday morning to the crash of a small plane at an airport in Westmoreland County, Pa., near Pittsburgh.

A Cessna aircraft, which emergency dispatchers said carried one or two people, crashed at about 10:30 a.m. at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Unity Township, adjacent to Latrobe, Pa. Firefighters responded, and one person was taken by a medical helicopter to a nearby hospital, WPXI-TV, Pittsburgh, reported.

It was not immediately determined if the plane was taking off or landing, or what caused the crash.
