An emergency locator transmitter activated just before 1:30 p.m., and helped Alaska State Troopers and Alaska Wildlife Troopers find the crash site from aboard a helicopter.

"No survivors were located," Alaska's Department of Public Safety said in a statement. "The National Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration have been notified and will be responding to the crash site to assist in the investigation already being conducted by the Alaska State Troopers."

The identities of the deceased will not be revealed until the notification of next of kin. The plane crashed about 12 miles northwest of Togiak.
